The official BrSMS web site is located at http://www.lsi.usp.br/~ricardo/brsms.htm
| BrSMS is the fastest SMS and Game Gear emulator around. It's compatibility is excellent, and it has support for many features that the systems supported, even 3D glasses. If you have a low end PC, or just can't handle the thought of anything less than super speed, then BrSMS is the emulator of choice. It is written in 100% ASM code, so speed is at it's optimum. Reports of full frame rates on 486-33 power plants are not uncommon. The only drawback with this emulator is, it has no GUI, but front ends are available by third parties. |

BrSMS 1.0 The file that started it all.

The official MEKA web site is located at http://www.emucamp.com/meka/
| MEKA is probably the most well presented of the Sega 8bit emulators, or any emulator for that matter. It has a beautiful and well designed GUI, which makes this a pleasure to use. It's compatibility is equal to, if not better than BrSMS, and it also has support for many of the peripherals that the systems used, including, 3D glasses, spinners, light gun, and now even supports the Sega Sports Pad, which was designed for use with the Sports Pad Football cartridge. MEKA is a must have for any serious Sega 8bit fan. The only disadvantage of using MEKA is, it is written entirely in C, so it needs a bit of power in the CPU department to reach full frame rates. |
